Can anyone be referred?
Yes. Anyone over the age of 16 can be referred to any of our services. Don’t worry about suitability, this will be assessed by the management team at referral stage.
Does everyone get offered a place?
Unfortunately, they don’t. While we try to work with as many people that need our service as possible, each referral is assessed on their support need, the need of the current group we are working with, and the experience of the staff team.
What safeguarding measures do we have in place?
All our staff are CSE and CCE trained. We have a robust safeguarding children and adults policy. We are registered with Ofsted for 16 and 17-year-old residents. We follow local and national protocols for keeping young people and adults safe and reporting missing.
Will you take couples?
Yes, we do. However, this is subject to matching with other placements, and suitability of available properties.
If a placement breaks down, what are the options?
This is dependent on the reasons and the severity of the reason why placement has broken down. If is deemed suitable and we can accommodate, we would move the resident to one of our other sites. If there are no vacancies, outreach could be offered in a property of your choosing, if deemed suitable.
Do you use agency staff?
We have never used agency staff. We have a flexible an understanding staff team who adapt to any situations that may need extra staffing or cover at short notice. We feel it is essential that all residents feel safe in the knowledge that all workers are employed by Twenty-Four Seven.
How many bedrooms do your properties have?
Whilst the majority of our properties have 1 bedroom, we do have a good selection of 2- and 3-bedroom properties.
Do young people have to move out when they are 18?
Whilst some residents are ready to move into their own property at 18, it is acknowledged by ourselves and Local Authorities that they may need extra time to be ready to live more independently. While ever it is agreed and the resident is accessing support to progress, placements can continue post 18.
What happens when people move out?
We work with residents and social workers to ensure a smooth transition from our services. We try to ensure the resident is prepared for the next stage of their independence. We can offer outreach support for resident that may need that little extra help.
Is all furniture and utility bills included in the weekly fees?
All our properties are fully furnished, including all kitchen appliances and equipment. If someone has their own furniture, this does not reduce the fees, however we can accommodate this by storing our furniture to give the resident space to use their own. Utility bills are included within the fees.
